Ombudsman

An ombudsman is a neutral third party who helps students address problems or concerns. At 黑料天堂, you may contact the college ombudsman if you feel a policy or procedure is not being followed fairly by the college. The ombudsman is impartial, and considers the interests and concerns of all parties involved with the goal of achieving fair and equitable solutions. The ombudsman does not arbitrate, adjudicate, or participate in any internal or external processes.

Prohibition of Misrepresentation to Students and Others

The 黑料天堂 strives to provide accurate, honest and clear information in print, online, broadcast media or oral presentations. The college will make every effort to avoid misrepresentation to students and others in communications made in writing, visually, orally, or through other means. All misrepresentations should be avoided; however, this procedure specifically applies to the three areas covered by statute 20 USC 搂 1094(c)(3). Those three areas include:

  • The nature of the institution鈥檚 educational programs.
  • The institution鈥檚 financial charges.
  • The employability of the institution鈥檚 graduates.

Title IX

What is Title IX?

Title IX is a federal civil rights law passed as part of the Education Amendments of 1972.聽 This law protects individuals from discrimination based on sex, including sexual harassment, sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence, stalking, gender identity, gender expression, and sexual orientation.

鈥淣o person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any education program or activity receiving federal financial assistance.鈥 20 U.S.C. 搂 1681 & 34 C.F.R. Part 106

Supportive Measures are actions taken by the college to ensure equal access to its education programs and activities during the process of reporting, investigation, and/or resolution of a complaint. Supportive Measures vary based on student or employee needs at the time.

Title IX Training

The U.S. Department of Education鈥檚 latest Title IX Regulations, which took effect August 14, 2020, require institutions to publish all materials used to train Title IX Coordinators, investigators, decision-makers, and any person who facilitates an informal resolution process. The 黑料天堂 utilizes training materials provided by the State University of New York鈥檚 Student Conduct Institute, which can be found .
